Beijing 2008 Olympics Tours - Hutong Alley Bike Tour

One of our Beijing 2008 Olympics Tours, this 3 hour Cycling tour will enable you to see the real Beijing with this tour that will lead you to places most tourists never get to go.

Cycle through Beijing's small back streets, visit traditional tea houses and obtain an insight into the Beijing lifestyle and the lives of ordinary families. Unlike most of our Beijing 2008 Olympics Tours, this tour is only 3 hours long.

Route

Cycle to Tiananmen Square, spacious enough to accommodate a million people. Watch the magnificent People Heroes Monument and five-stated Red Flag waves on the seat of bike.

Legation quarter - since the Eight Power Allied Forces occupied Beijing in 1900, this beautiful district turned into a a foreign compound prohibitted to Chinese.

Qianmen(Front Gate) - visit a local Beijing family in a traditional Beijing Courtyard House, also called quadrangles(Siheyuan).

Exterior of the Forbidden City - the peaceful moat will make a good picture stop.

Houhai lake - heading north. This lake provides locals with a peaceful place to walk, chat, dance, playing Taichi. Many stylish bars have started to open around here.

Mao Tse Dong's former residence - though a the top leader of the China for decades, luxury is not to be seen here.

Return to our office opposite the lush Jingshan Park.
