Beijing Olympic Courtyard HousingLocated in a closed compound just a 2 minute walk away from the Forbidden City and a 10 minute walk away from Tiananmen Square. Free bus and metro transportation is provided as well as mobile phones. This two floor home is a rebuilt courtyard house with all the modern amenities of a western duplex. Despite its prime central location, it is located in a peaceful quite area full of trees making it hard to believe that it is in fact right in the heart of Beijing.
DescriptionThis is a two floor rebuilt courtyard house composed of 2 bedrooms (one with a queen sized bed, the other with a double bed), both on the top floor, a living room, a toilet and a kitchen. There are 10 houses in the compound, having a wide courtyard with trees in between them. The neighbors are both Chinese and Westerners. The size of this courtyard is approximately 250 m² and barbecues can be held during spring and summer.
LocationThis house is located in the most central part of Beijing, mostly inhabited by government officials. With the Forbidden City across the street, Jing Shan Park (where amazing views of the city are offered), the shopping area Wanfujing and Tiananmen Square all at close walking distance, this area is without any doubt one of the most prestigious in Beijing.Below are two pictures of the Forbidden City. The East Gate (Dong Hua Men) on the left (less than 2 minutes walk away from the house) and the northeast corner (surrounded by a moat) on the right.
Being so close to major political centres, this area is needless to say one of the safest in Beijing. Below are pictures of Tiananmen Square (where there are two metro stops) with Chairman Mao's portrait (10 minute walk away from the house) and the road that leads there (Nan Chi Zi) one minute away from the house.
