Great Wall Hike - Secret Great Wall Hike
Great Wall Hike - The Secret Great Wall Hike is a one day hike that takes you to an un-restored area of the Great Wall. Not only does it give customers the chance to see the real Great Wall of China, but it also allows them to do so in a peaceful way, without having to bump into literally hundreds of tourists as the case is in other areas of the Wall, such as Badaling. Given that it has not been mentioned in any travel Guide book in English, this section has no vendors, and rarely any people. Definately a unique experience for those who go.
Route
73 kilometers north from Beijing City, this section of the Wall was built in 1368 during the period of the Ming Dynasty and is known by those who have seen it for its unique beauty and tranquility.
Enemy observation towers are set high up and there is a point called the Beijing Knot, where 3 sections of the Great Wall converge.
Trek on the deserted sections of the Great Wall. The duration is 4 hours. The hike is ended at the Mutianyu section where you will be transfered back to Beijing by our shuttle bus.
We have taken National Geographic photographers on the Secret Great Wall Hike, and they have all been pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the landscape.
NOTE: Family Friendly - trip is suitable for children above 8. Please inform us on the age of children when booking.
