Sichuan Panda Tours
This trip not only inludes Sichuan Panda Tours, but also a visit to the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a UNESCO cultural heritage site, which has irrigated the Chengdu Plain for 2260 years, a visit to the Giant Panda Research Base founded by the WWF, a visit to the Panda Museum, a river cruise and a view of the largest carved Buddha statue in the world.
Day 1
Day 1: Chengdu - Wolong (B)
-Transfer from Chengdu to Wolong - 3.5 hours scenic drive to Wolong.
-On the way, to visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a UNESCO cultural heritage site, which has irrigated the Chengdu Plain for 2260 years.
-Arrival at Wolong - visit the Giant Panda Research Base, funded by the WWF (World Wildlife Fund)which is home to around 40 pandas.
-Giant Panda Museum - comprehensively and graphically displays information relating to pandas as well as the flora and fauna of this area.
-Overnight in Wolong.
Day 2
Day 2: Wolong - Leshan Grand Buddha - Emei City (B)
-Drive to Leshan - enjoy the beautiful countryside views of the Chuanxi Plain.
-Cruise and view of Largest Carved Buddha in the world - After lunch, board on a boat, have a panoramic view of the biggest carved Buddha statue in the world.
-Transfer to Emei mountain - visit Baoguosi temple, the largest temple at the foot of Mt. Emei.
Day 3
Day 3: Mt.Emei hiking, Back to Chengdu (B)
-Cable car up to the highest summit of Mt. Emei, the Golden summit.
-Visit Huazang temple.
-Hiking in the lush green Emei mountain, see Wanniansi temple.
-Transfer back to Chengdu.
